Catch-up

There is so much to catch everyone up on, where do I begin......
We finally sold our house in Georgia! yeah!!!!!!  That has been a wonderful burden lifted off of our shoulders.
Zoe has finally gained some weight, as she lost what she gained in a months time.  She is now 12 pounds and 10 oz.   Remember she is about 7 1/2 months old.  This RSV stuff has sent her through the wringer.  However, she has continued to be a happy baby.
Daniel has turned 2 and is now in a toddler bed!   Pray for us!! :)
I have turned....well, if you know me really well, you know my true age...not going to say it here!  My b-day was a little extra special because I received a wonderful b-day exchange from Joan.  She sent me the most thoughtful package and some wonderful items in the mail.  I received a beautiful cross-stitched, beribboned package that has mine and her name on it.  I also received some hand made rose pins her daughter made, a laying tool made out of a silver fork, made by her DH, as well as a couple of lovely pattern, some goodies AND a subscription to the GOS!  Just what I wanted!  Thank you so much Joan!!!
Hannah is playing softball this season, her first year.  And she is doing great!  Her team played in a tournament this weekend and her team was the only team to played 6 games, the others played 2 or 3.  They won 5 out of 6.  They took home the first place trophy!  She was thrilled!  I am happy for her, but also a little...or really alot sunburned! Yikes!  I really had fun watching her though.
I leave Thursday to go to Gatlinburg for the Women of Joy Conference.  I am looking forward to going to that.  I will be gone 4 days and 3 nights.  I will miss Steve and the kids terrible.
At church we are going through the Love Dares Bible Study.  This is a bible study I would encourage all couples, no matter the age, to go through.  Because of this bible study, one couple decided to renew their wedding vows after 50 years of marriage!  I thought that was wonderful!
So much more to talk about, but I really need to say GN!  I am working in Mobile tomorrow, so I need my rest!
Have a blessed week!

Waiting....

I am waiting for Steve to come home. He just left about an hour ago though.  He left for Columbus, GA - our old home.  He had to finish cleaning out the garage.  A friend of ours went with him.  He won't be back til late tonight.  With all 7 kids home - it will be up to me and DD to get the kids fed and ready for bed tonight.  I like it so much better when Steve is here.  He whips them all into "shape"  while I am usually taking care of Zoe - oh well.
The good side of all this is that we have sold out home!  Papers are not signed yet, but hopefully by next week they will be.  We made ZERO profit and lost all our equity.  At least we have a roof over our heads and pay no rent.  I won't ever complain about that.
I tend to be a pessimist - you may have already figures that out.  I can blame no one but myself for my words or my attitude, however, I do wonder sometimes if this is inherited. Some of my family members tend to be this way (no names mentioned to protect the innocent). lol
I leave you with a couple of pictures!  Have a great day!

Not Forgotten you all!

I have not forgotten you, faithful readers! (how few there may be Wink)
So many things have been going on here, I have barely had any computer time.  All kiddies and hubby are doing great.  Zoe is growing like a weed!
Church is going terrific!  We had Homecoming last week and we had over 200+ people at our church.  We were delighted to have such a great turn out.  (Homecoming is something that churches can do to invite previous members and previous pastors and families for a big time of fellowship and food and good preaching.)
Cross stitching has almost come to a halt.  I do not mean for that to happen, but things just get in the way.  I have done a few stitches for a few smalls that another person gave me to help her.  I have enjoyed doing some small bead work on these projects.
Other than that - only thing happening here is just LIFE!
God has been so good to us during these tough financial times.  He has provided our every need.
I pray that you all are doing well.
God Bless!

My Friend Chris

About 2 weeks after Zoe was born, I received a phone call from a stitching friend in my previous hometown in Georgia.  A stitiching friend of ours, Chris, died in a tragic car accident.  She was in her early 50's.  I was devistated to hear the news.  She was the president of the local EGA and was also the secretary of the NGA in Columbus, GA.  She was a very talented stitcher.  I learned so much from her.  Chris was always willing to help others "finish" their projects into a bag, a cube, an ornament or whatever.  I only knew Chris for about 10 months, but I counted her as a great stitching friend.  She will be missed by many.  Her talents and her friendship will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Good-bye friend.  I will always have fond memories of stitching with you on Tuesday nights and Fridays.  You will be sorely missed.

Pictures!

Well, I have found our camera cable...so here are some pictures! Yah!!
Today Zoe is 1 month old!  I cannot believe it!
Here are a couple of pictures in the hospital.  First one is of Zoe a few hours old.  Newborn Zoe Second one is discharge day from hospital.Mom and ZoeZoe's first trip to BeachZoe's first trip to the beach.  (Right down the road.)  She was about 2 weeks old here. It was a beautiful breezy day. Behind us is the old wooden ship that was uncovered from the sand after Hurricane Ivan. (You may have heard about it in the news.)  "They" think it is from the 1850's. Possible run aground from a fire during the Civil war. Really neat upclose.
Zoe is growing bigger every day.  I will take pictures again and update you all again.

Stitching is going really good.  I have a few small finishes that I need to complete into pillows or have them framed.  Will take some more pictures and update you later.
Have a wonderful weekend!
